Sometimes All We Need Is An Open Heart
Sometimes we don’t know why we do the things we do
though we just do…
Sometimes our spiritual love is so deep it’s cellular….
Sometimes our heart feels so betrayed regardless of how
much goodness is around us because we believe it to be
so it becomes so…
Sometimes we forget that feeling is different from
seeing, from knowing, from evidence in the palm of our
hand….
Sometimes our pain is so deep it’s piercing…Sometimes
our smiles are so big they crack…Sometimes we laugh so
hard our jaw drops…Sometimes we cry so hard our eyeballs
hurt…Sometimes we feel so unhappy it hurts too much to
love…Sometimes we feel so alone it’s deafening…
Sometimes we think we are so far in the earth that
peering through the grass will scare the world around
us…Sometimes we think life has become far too hard…we
just found too big a mountain to climb that’s all…
Sometimes we think that living within our own culture,
remaining inside the box will keep us safe…Sometimes we
don’t realize that all it does is narrow our mind into a
tunnel of darkness…Sometimes we think it’s us and them
rather than just us…
Sometimes other cultures seem so far removed from us
it’s almost as if they where aliens…Sometimes distance
makes our compassion grow weaker…Sometimes aliens exist
on earth…Sometimes those aliens are us…
Sometimes if we begin to love with an open heart that is
guided by compassion rather than separation…Sometimes
we’ll realize that person aint so bad at all…their way
of being is rather refreshing…Sometimes we realize, we
are all the same inside it’s only our belief that
separates us…
Sometimes we lock ourselves in the safe house too afraid
to let the badness in though we forget it keeps the
goodness out…Sometimes all we need to do is find a
window to see then a door to open…
Sometimes we wonder why love and happiness hasn’t come
our way…it has always been our way…we just forgot to
turn on the light that’s all…
Sometimes our past is overwhelming…Sometimes our future
is frightening…Sometimes the present is scary…
Sometimes we pretend to be someone else…to feel like we
have worth…Sometimes we think that something else
matters…though maybe that someone else wants to be with
you because you are you…and that is all that matters…
Sometimes we think what we obtain through the hand
creates our
self-worth, makes us important people, makes those that
matter like us more…What we forget it’s what we find
through the heart…What we find through our enlightened
spiritual being is what matters…
Sometimes we try too hard to find the badness in those
we love because it’s easier to stab the knife in first
than waiting till last…
Sometimes last never comes because what we focus on we
see…what we believe we feel…and what we want we get…
Sometimes we need to just know that there is someone who
cares, someone we can confide in, someone that trusts
our heart’s desire, someone that loves with an open
heart, without judgment, without prejudice, that honours
our heart & soul with purity, someone regardless of how
little smiles we have today, how many heartaches we’ll
feel tomorrow, how many tears we shed a day…will always
make us feel we have come home…
Sometimes we wonder why God has made us suffer…God
didn’t forget us along the way…make us miss the bus…it
is not that we suffer, we just walked into the room that
wasn’t ready for us yet…
Sometimes we wonder why around every corner we find
walls, all we need to do is make a door and open
it…Sometimes that door is too hard to open then find a
window and look through it…Sometimes that window is too
high to see then find a ladder to stand on…Sometimes
that ladder can’t be found then maybe we took a wrong
turning then go back and ask for directions…
Sometimes we think we need to do it alone…Sometimes we
think we can’t ask for a map…We are never alone…that map
has always been there…just that our bag was too big to
find it…
Sometimes we don’t know why that someone does the things
that they do…all we need to know is that they just do…
Sometimes when they are there…we wish that they were
gone…when they go we wish that they would come…
Sometime all we need to do is begin to love
ourselves…Sometimes we think that having another in our
lives will make us whole but we were already whole to
start with…
Life is full of many challenges it’s how we see these
challenges that makes us grow through our truths…
Life is rather a spiritual journey into ourselves…not a
challenge to be conquered…there is no medal at the
end…only your enlightened spiritual being…
Somewhere beyond your door someone cares for
you…Somewhere through your darkness you’ll find that
there was always light…
